Mathieu Da Costa Challenge

The annual Mathieu Da Costa Challenge of the Department of Canadian Heritage is a fun way for young people to learn more about Canada’s rich cultural diversity. The contest invites young Canadians between the ages of 9 and 18 to submit a piece of creative writing (e.g. short story, poem, etc.) or artwork celebrating the contributions made by Canadians of Aboriginal, African or other ethnocultural backgrounds to the building of Canada.
