Mathieu Da Costa Challenge

The annual Mathieu Da Costa Challenge of the Department of Canadian Heritage is a fun way for young people to learn more about Canada’s rich cultural diversity. The contest invites young Canadians between the ages of 9 and 18 to submit a piece of creative writing (e.g. short story, poem, etc.) or artwork celebrating the contributions made by Canadians of Aboriginal, African or other ethnocultural backgrounds to the building of Canada.

If you are interested in joining in this challenge and need more information, stop by or e-mail liz@peclibrary.org for information :)

New - book reviewa~

See that little link over there ------------->
(to the right)
that says "Teen Book Reviews"?

If you CLICK IT it will open up a new Livejournal community www.livejournal.com/~teenroom_books . I am hereby inviting YOU to join up with livejournal (it's easy, and if you ask I will even show you how!) and post reviews of books you read. Then, you can reply to the reviews other people have made if you have read the same books. It's easy but I think it will be fun
